Once every summer, two indie labels come together in Delhi to showcase the crafty consequences of their creativity in the name of Imperfectly Me. Zariin, a jewelry label in collaboration with House of Qidwa, a sufi inspired clothing label, host a lovely event to give the Delhi shoppers what they need – well styled fashion outfits to see you through the scorching heat. This April, the two labels hosted the third edition of the series. The two labels endeavor to host a hearty event which promises a lovely shopping experience at an interesting location – this year it was Guppy by Ai playing host to the day. A contemporary Japanese restaurant with interesting art works adds an immense feel good factor to the shopping experience. So basically, it is not just the clothes and jewelry, but some sushi indulgence as well.
Mamta and Vidhi Gupta from Zariin and Yasmin Kidwai from House of Qidwa, are interestingly self taught designers with no formal education in design. They have translated their creative energies to interesting entrepreneurial skills. Both labels pay reverence to individuality by highlighting handmade techniques and modernizing the aesthetics of traditional crafts. They believe in beauty in imperfections and therefore, perfectly come together for the trunk show they call “Imperfectly Me”

Collaborations in the field of fashion and design always leave you enriched with learning experiences and memories that motivate to do more. An event like this gives us a chance to closely work with the shoppers and get that look right while understanding their needs which we eventually incorporate in our future collections.
